On November 21, as part of the preparation for the final tournament of Euro-2023 (U-21), Ukraine's youth national team played a friendly match against Georgia in Gorī. The game ended with a score of 1:1. We remind you that two days earlier, in Tbilisi, the blue-and-yellow team drew 1:1 with their Israeli counterparts.

After the game against the Georgians, half-backs Ivan Zhelezko from Latvia's Valmiera and Oleksiy Kashchuk from Azerbaijan's Qabala shared their impressions.

"When I arrived here, I practically didn't know half of the boys. From the first training session, Ruslan Rotan showed his playing style, which we have been practicing for more than a year now. It was difficult for new players at first, but they gradually got into our game. We showed an excellent result because in just a few trainings, they adapted to the new playing style. I am pleasantly surprised," said Ivan Zhelezko.

"Regarding my goal, it was quite a nice combination. Happy that I managed to score. It's a pity we didn't win, but I believe our victories are ahead. Overall, the camp went pretty well and positively despite having little time and an entirely new team. Everyone did their job 100%. Like every footballer, I have a dream—to make it to Euro. I will do everything in my power to be included in the list," said Oleksiy Kashchuk.

We add that according to the draw results for Euro-2023 (U-21), which took place on October 18, Ukraine was placed in Group B, where they will face Romania, Spain, and Croatia. Our team will start their journey with a match against Croatia, scheduled for June 21 of next year in Bucharest, Romania.
