In previous matches of the main round, which took place in Latvia, blue-and-yellow overcame Kosovo (3:1) and the Netherlands (4:2). Now, however, the Ukraine national team has traveled to Pristina, where they trained for several days, and today faced off against the hosts.
The Ukrainians quickly scored two goals—Chernyavsky took advantage of a throw-in pass from Shourma, while Syri delivered a thunderous shot from the crossbar. Just before halftime, the Kosovars managed to score one goal when Majkarray capitalized on our boys' mistake.

However, in the second half, blue-and-yellow continued to dominate on the pitch. On the 28th minute, Mykytyuk scored a goal from our team's attack on the left flank, and later Farenyuk successfully played for a penalty kick after a corner. At the 34th minute, the teams exchanged goals—Lebid and Saleh scored. In summary, the Ukraine national team won with a score of 5:2.
The next match in the main round will be played away against the Netherlands on March 8, 2023.
