Semi-defender of Ukraine's youth team Georgiy Sudakov commented on the defeat (2:3) against Slovakia in the first knockout match of the Euro-2023 (U-21) selection.
"I am a football player and should not comment on referees' actions. First, we need to answer for our team's actions, for our play."
Slovakia is a decent team that fights well and plays without the ball very well. I consider this one of the strongest opponents against whom we have played.
It's hard to comment on anything right now. When we analyze the game, we can say something.
We played decently, somewhere unjustifiably conceded. I think in the next match, we will play much better both offensively and defensively.
The stands helped us; we could hear them. We are very grateful for their support. It's nice that there are our people in Slovakia who pushed us forward."
