The seminar was held in an online format. It was led by the Chairman of the UEFA Referees Committee Luciano Locti and the coordinator for the training of Ukrainian referees Nicola Rizzoli. They emphasized to the participants of the seminar an increase in Premier League matches involving clear goal situation interruptions.
A series of video materials were analyzed, and recommendations were given on improving the work of referees in this aspect.
Italian experts did not overlook episodes of simulation as well as team work among officials. The nearly three-hour meeting was aimed at raising the level of refereeing in the UPL and analyzing both negative and positive aspects of the work of elite division referees.
Luciano Locti and Nicola Rizzoli noted that a similar seminar will be held to improve the performance of assistant referees in the UPL.
