The day before the second round group A match between "Epichentrom" and "Poltisia," changes occurred on Podolyan's coaching staff. The club entrusted well-known former footballer Serhiy Nagorniak with the responsibility, who has been training various age categories of Ukraine's national teams in recent years. Assisting him will be Oleh Naduda, who previously led this team.

The home team managed to put up a fight against "Poltisia," which not only strengthened its ranks with a group of experienced players but also continuously prepared abroad. The visitors secured victory in the 77th minute when Bohdan Kushnirenko forced Epichentrom's goalkeeper Serhiy Chernobay into conceding — 2:1. Interestingly, the scorer wore the number 77. It is worth noting that "Poltisia" did not concede on away grounds for 256 minutes.

While Poltisia's strong position was expected, the unexpected slowdown came from group B contender "LNZ." After losing points in Chernihiv against "Obolon," Bakalov's wards conceded in Zaporizhzhia despite opening the scoring on the 23rd minute through Ivan Tischenko's shot. However, in the second half, the rivalry intensified, and Oleksiy Sydorov scored a brace five minutes apart, securing a well-deserved victory for the home team — 2:1.

After the final whistle, "LNZ" head coach Yuriy Bakalov did not hide his disappointment: "There were two different halves. In the first one, we dictated terms and went ahead, but after halftime I didn't recognize my players; the hosts deserved their win. There's also my fault in this, perhaps I didn't reach out to the boys enough…"

In the same group, the match between "Hirnyk-Sport" and "Chernihiv" did not take place. If the clubs do not agree on a new date by September 9th, the administration of the PFL will determine it.
