If we consider this question legally, the official season for Ukrainian national team players who were invited by Oleksandr Petrakov to play in the national team's June matches started on July 6.
On that day, Hungarian Ferencváros of Oleksandr Zubkov played its first match in the first qualifying round of the Champions League against Kazakh Tobol (0:0). However, the Ukrainian did not have any actual involvement in the event — he was not included in Ferencvaros' squad for these matches.
Defender Eduard Sobolev of Belgian club KAA Gent has more chances to open his club season as he is preparing with his team for Sunday's Belgian Super Cup match against Gent.
The official club prospects for half-back Danylo Ignatenko and forward Danylo Sykhan have not yet been announced.
