Ukraine's goalkeeper Andriy Pyatov commented on the League of Nations match against Armenia (3:0), which was his last game with the national team.

— Could you only dream about such an end to your career?

— Yes, I am very grateful to everyone who participated in this. It is really nice for me. Believe me, it once again shows how united our team is. Thank you to all the fans, they are just amazing.

— Could you imagine that the atmosphere would be so warm?

— I prepared very carefully for the game, set aside all formalities, and was focused. But after the final whistle, emotions just poured out of me. I am really happy, really grateful to everyone.

— You had an injury. You decided to play against Armenia through pain...

— We agreed with the head coach that I would play my last match on June 11. But a day before the game with Ireland, I got an unpleasant injury after which the doctor said I needed a three-week break. I asked if I could play one match. He said that if I took painkillers for two to three days, I could.

— Did your knee bother you during the game?

— Our doctors are magicians. They got me back on my feet. Now I will have a break to rehabilitate my knee.

— Our team couldn't score in the first half, but showed character.

— Armenia mostly played counterattacks and defended very well. It's like when Shakhtar and Dynamo play in the Ukrainian championship, with all of the opposing players near their own penalty area. So we had to score the first goal. Good that the boys came out strong in the second half and scored right away. The game took a different turn, hence the final score.

— Your signature saves didn't go unnoticed.

— Zabarny and I agreed — he cuts it off, and I save it (laughs).

— What do you wish for the boys who will continue what you started?

— Now I am their fan. The next game is against Ireland, and I'll be in front of the screen supporting them. Only victory, only forward!
