On the first day of the gathering, June 3rd, players from our team arrived at their destination from various corners of Ukraine and Europe. The blue-and-yellow team began their preparation in San Marino.

As reported by the press service of the Ukrainian Futsal Association, today, June 10th, our national team has departed from San Marino to Italy for Bologna, where the second part of the gathering will take place. On June 15th, Oleksandr Shaitanov's wards will play a friendly match against the Italian national team (kickoff at 7:00 PM), and on June 16th (9:30 PM) their opponent will be the "Banjolo" team representing the second-tier local division.

“This is a crucial stage of our preparation for the European Championship. I would like to express my gratitude to the Football Federation of San Marino for offering us hospitality and giving us the opportunity to start this journey that will lead us to such an important and prestigious event as the final tournament of the European Championship.”— believes the head coach of the blue-and-yellow team, Oleksandr Shaitanov.

We remind you that the final tournament of the second European Championship in women's futsal, which Ukraine will participate in, will take place from July 1-3 this year.

Earlier, UEFA announced that the final tournament of the Euro 2022 women's futsal championship, which was scheduled to take place from March 25-27 in Portugal, has been postponed. This decision was made after consultations and obtaining consent from the football association of the host country.

Later, UEFA announced the new dates for semi-finals and medal matches. The games are scheduled for July 1-3. Thus, on July 1st, Ukraine's national team will play against Spain in the semi-final. The venue of the final tournament has not changed — all meetings will take place in Gondomar, Portugal.

In another semi-final match, Portugal and Russia were supposed to meet. However, due to the Russian invasion of Ukraine, FIFA and UEFA excluded Russian national teams and clubs from all competitions under their auspices. Therefore, the Russian women's futsal team will not participate in the Euro 2022 final tournament. According to UEFA’s decision, Hungary, which secured second place in its group of the main round qualifier, will take part in the continental championship.
