On Wednesday, the blue-and-yellow team conducted two training sessions. In the morning, the main work focused on actions during standard situations, while in the evening, it was tactical exercises.

The weather in pre-training often changes frequently. And since Ukrainians are training near Slovenian Alps, they feel climatic nuances almost every day. The night before, a storm flew over Brdo — nothing was damaged but it left an early morning chill behind. However, the humidity quickly evaporated as by 11 am when the team started their morning session, the temperature had risen to 26 degrees Celsius. But in the evening, the sun hid behind clouds, making the work noticeably more pleasant.

The evening training session for the team began with working on ball control techniques using small goals and retrieving the ball in threes. In this process, 19 field players participated. Today, Mykhailo Mudryk and Vitaliy Mykolenko returned to the main group. Individually, however, two are still working: Mykola Shaparenko continues his individual program with a physiotherapist, while Denis Popov's recovery is proceeding according to plan. Doctors will soon conduct a follow-up examination after which they will determine the next steps for the defender's rehabilitation.

Goalkeepers intensively worked under the guidance of goalkeeper coach Vyacheslav Kornienko, who traditionally offers his wards interesting and practically useful exercises for developing reaction speed, coordination, and endurance.

In the main part of the training, blue-and-yellow team members participated in game series with all players working on tactical assignments given by the coaching staff.

Tomorrow's work program will include one item — a 90-minute intra-squad match. For head coach Oleksandr Petrakov and his assistants, it is important to give the boys full-game load, based on which significant conclusions about the team's readiness for the Scotland game will be drawn.

The composition of teams into which players will be divided for conducting intra-squad matches, as well as the course of events on the field, the coaching staff prefers to keep within the preparation framework. So fans should not expect tomorrow's results, goal scorers and statistical data. However, based on the internal match-up, the head coach of Ukraine's national team will give his comment.
