In the final match of the 2022 European Women's Under-17 Championship in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Germany faced Spain. Prior to the final, Germany had defeated France (1:0) in the semifinal, while Spain had beaten the Netherlands (3:0).

The final match ended in a 2-2 draw after regular time, with Germany emerging victorious in the penalty shootout by a score of 3-2. Third place was secured by France, who defeated the Netherlands 2-0.

It is worth noting that this was the first European Women's Under-17 Championship since 2019, as the previous two tournaments were canceled due to the coronavirus pandemic. Germany's victory marked their eighth title and set a new record for themselves.

We remind you that the Ukrainian Women's Under-17 team successfully advanced to the League A in this year's European Championship, outperforming teams from Estonia, North Macedonia, and Moldova. However, due to Russia's full-scale aggression, the blue-and-yellow team did not participate in the second round of qualification for the EURO-2022.
