Andriy Pavelko joined the work of the UEFA Congress via video link from Chernihiv
President of the Ukrainian Football Association and UEFA Executive Committee member Andriy Pavelko and UAF Vice President and General Secretary Yuri Zapyasotsky, during their working visit to Chernihiv, participated in the 76th UEFA Congress remotely via video link from the FC "Desna" stadium, which was seriously damaged by Russia's full-scale aggression.

Andriy Pavelko, President of the Ukrainian Football Association and UEFA Executive Committee member, along with Yurii Zapyasotskyi, Vice-President and General Secretary of the UFA, participated in the 76th UEFA Congress remotely via video link from their home stadium, FC "Dnipro" in Chernihiv, which suffered significant damage due to Russia's full-scale aggression. For the first time in UEFA history, the congress was translated into Ukrainian.

Andriy Pavelko demonstrated to delegates and guests of the UEFA Congress, leaders of all European national associations, and colleagues from other continents the destruction that the stadium in Chernihiv has endured, and spoke about the bravery of Ukrainian football community representatives who have been helping evacuate children from conflict zones to safe regions since February 24.

In particular, the head of the Chernihiv Oblast Football Association, Hennadii Prokopovych, was forced to transport children across the Dnipro River in a small boat with oars after a bridge was blown up in the direction of Kyiv. Meanwhile, Oleksandr Yaroshenko, the head of the Mariupol City Football Association, used an ambulance vehicle to evacuate injured children and the women's team of FC "Mariupol" from the city.
