The Ukrainian Football Association has reached an agreement with the Croatian club "Rijeka" regarding the holding of a friendly match on May 18. The game, which will take place at the club's home stadium, Stadion Rujevica, will start at 7 PM Kyiv time.

The UAF and "Rijeka" have agreed that the proceeds from ticket sales will be transferred to the global support platform for Ukraine United24 established by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky, whose goal is to unite people around the world in their desire to help our country. The national team, supporting this initiative of the Head of State, will wear a badge with the name of the platform — U24 — on its training jerseys.

The cost of tickets for the game in Croatia is from 20 to 70 kuna (approximately from 2.5 to 10 euros). The Stadion Rujevica accommodates over 8,000 spectators. This is a new stadium of the "Rijeka" club, opened in 2015. Its predecessor, "Kantardžiha," famous throughout Europe for being located under an iconic bridge, is currently not used due to its outdated infrastructure and need for reconstruction.

HNK Rijeka, founded over a hundred years ago (1906), is the third most important club in Croatia. It won its first national championship title five years ago (2017) and has seven silver medals to its name. Also in its trophy cabinet are six Croatian Cups and two Yugoslav Cups. In the previous season of the national championship, "Rijeka" finished third. With two rounds left until the end of the current campaign, the team is fourth.

It should be noted that this season "Rijeka" reached the final of the national Cup, where it will play against "Hajduk" on May 26.
