In the final match of the UEFA Youth League, Portuguese "Benfica" U-19 defeated Austrian "Salzburg" U-19 and for the first time in their history became the tournament champion.

Today, in the final match of the UEFA Youth League at the "Colovray" stadium in Nyon, "Salzburg" and "Benfica" faced each other. The day before, Austrians won against Spanish "Athletic" (5:0) in the semi-finals, while Portuguese overcame Italian "Juventus" on penalties (2:2 after regular time).

In the final, "Benfica" scored six goals against "Salzburg" and thus became the first-ever champion of the UEFA Youth League. It should be noted that Lisbon-based team had previously played in three finals but lost all three times, including to "Salzburg," which won the title in the 2016/2017 season.
