The Ukrainian FIFA eFootball national team will participate in the main round of qualification for the FIFAe Nations Cup 2022.

Starting from December 2021, Ukrainian eFootball players participated in the first qualifying round (play-in) of the FIFAe Nations Cup 2022, but due to Russia's large-scale military aggression against Ukraine, they were forced to stop participating in competitions.

The main qualification round for the world eFootball championship starts on May 16, and this week the Ukrainian team learned their opponents at this stage of the competition. The blue-and-yellow team will face national teams from Portugal, Finland, Spain, Switzerland, Northern Ireland, Serbia, and Austria.

Considering that the planned April tournament Ukrainian eCup 2022, which was supposed to select players for a new national squad with FIFA, did not take place, the team's composition remains unchanged: players Andriy CIG_STEPOVER Shakalov, Yaroslav ECF_BlackStar98 Gurmak, and Oleksiy ForlanFS Mercer, as well as manager Oleg Shustenko.

The match series will take place from May 19 to 21. The format of the matches is "2 vs 2". The schedule for the matches will be announced later.

The FIFA World Cup, where the top 24 eFootball teams compete, will take place from July 27 to 30 in Denmark. The prize fund for the competition is $400,000.
