Main coach of the Ukrainian women's team Yaia Andrushak responded to questions from the official website of the Ukrainian Football Association after the match against Spain (1:3) in the selection for the World Cup.

— Comment on the start of the selection for the national team.

— We wanted to play against such opponents, these are the top teams that exist today: European champions, world champions. We wanted the girls to feel in these matches that they can match this level. Yes, we lost in two matches. In the second game, it was noticeable that we made conclusions after the first match. Against Spain, we were more bold and pressing forward. The football gods rewarded us for that. I think this will give the girls confidence in themselves. Such matches show us that there is a lot to work on: technically, tactically, physically. The match against Spain — it's like an advance for us. An advance of faith that we can play and impose ourselves at such a level.

— Who was harder to play against - England or Spain?

— The class is the same, just a slightly different style of play. The Spanish are a bit faster and more technical. They open the flanks more through combinations. The England team — it's a more physical approach. Of course, there are also plenty of combinations there.

 — What did the players say?

— We summed up everything in our team. Thanked everyone for their work and gave instructions until the next camp.
