The Ukraine national team has begun preparation for two 2026 World Cup qualifying matches — against Iceland (October 10, Reykjavik) and Azerbaijan (October 13, Krakow).

The Ukraine national team has begun preparations for two World Cup 2026 qualifiers — against Iceland (October 10, Reykjavik) and Azerbaijan (October 13, Krakow).

Players from the Ukrainian championship traveled to the national team camp by train to Warsaw, and then by bus. Foreign-based players joined their teammates directly in Poland.

The team will train at this location until October 8, when they will travel to Reykjavik. On the 9th, a traditional pre-match press conference with Sergiy Rebrov and one of his players (starting at 20:30 Kyiv time) and training session (21:00 Kyiv time) on the Iceland vs Ukraine match venue, the "Leygargatavegur" stadium will take place. The return to Poland is scheduled for October 11.

On October 12 in Krakow, traditional pre-match events for the Ukraine vs Azerbaijan match will take place. At 17:30 local time, a press conference with Sergiy Rebrov and one of his players will start, followed by training at 18:00.

Press conferences with representatives from Azerbaijani media and training sessions for our opponents will begin at 19:30 and 20:00 local time respectively.
