Today in their first match of the Conference League group stage, Donetsk's "Shakhtar" traveled to face Scottish "Aberdeen."

The team coached by Arda Turan started the match on a low note. As early as the 7th minute, Elias conceded a penalty in his own box. Jesper Karlsson converted the spot kick. Just over a minute later, Layton Clarkson could have doubled Aberdeen's lead but missed an open goal. The miners responded with dangerous shots from Oleksandr Ocheretyanyi and Marlon. On the 39th minute, Yegor Nazarina capitalized on a cross from the left flank to equalize the score at 1:1.

After halftime, "Shakhtar" stepped up their game, which immediately showed results. In the 54th minute, Lucas Perreira headed in a goal to put the visitors ahead, and six minutes later Pedro Henrique scored with a powerful shot from inside the penalty area for the third goal of the Donetsk team. However, the Scots did not give up and on the 69th minute Niko Devlin successfully converted a rebound — 2:3.

However, the home side could not score more — "Shakhtar" secured a narrow victory.
