The Ukrainian youth team for futsal has completed their participation in the Futsal Week Summer Cup as part of their preparation for the final stage of Euro-2025 (U-19).

In the first phase of the tournament in Poreč, Croatia, Igor Moskvichov's wards lost to Portugal (0:4) and beat Slovenia (5:4). As a result, our team secured second place in Group A and according to the tournament rules, qualified for the 4th-6th place playoff along with the Czech Republic and the Netherlands.

In the first match of the second phase of Futsal Week Summer Cup, Ukraine's blue-and-yellow team defeated the Netherlands (2:1). Today, the Ukrainian U-19 team faced off against the Czech Republic. In the first half, there was an intense battle with sharp moments for both teams' goalkeepers. However, only the Czechs capitalized on their chances once — Tomáš Zíta outmaneuvered our goalkeeper at the 6th minute mark — 1:0.

After halftime, the opponents exchanged goals. First, Marek Tihiy doubled his team's lead to two goals, but Ukraine narrowed the gap just two minutes later — 1:2. And they didn't stop there. With just two minutes remaining before full time, they not only equalized but also secured victory — 3:2. Maxim Haydutchyk scored a hat-trick.

Thus, Igor Moskvichov's wards finished in fourth place at the Futsal Week Summer Cup.

As a reminder, the Ukrainian youth team for futsal U-19, having successfully advanced through the main qualifying round of Euro-2025, secured their place at one of four European championships.

In Group 5 of the main qualifying round for Euro-2025 (U-19), held in Vrnjačka Banja, Serbia, Ukraine confidently defeated Montenegro (9:2) and the Netherlands (6:2), and in the decisive match narrowly beat the hosts (1:0). Thus, Ukraine secured first place in their group and qualified for the European Championship. Euro-2025 will take place from September 28 to October 5 in Chisinau at the "Chisinau Arena."
