An alumnus of the football SDOSS "Zmina" (Kyiv), he later worked as a referee in DЮFL matches and eventually became an assistant referee for DЮFL, where he professionally represented the Kyiv Football Referees College.
His brother Oleksiy Hanzhyi now works as a coach at the DЮФК "Titan Kyiv".
The Ukrainian Association of Football expresses sincere condolences to Vasyl's family, relatives, and friends.
