For the Poltava players to secure second place, it was enough not to lose against Metalist in Uzhhorod. But the city dwellers did not take any risks, controlled the course of events on the field, and under pressure, substitute Yevgen Strielkov scored the winning goal — 1:0. The Poltavans are making history as they will make their debut in the elite division next season.

Epitsentr remained true to itself, racing through the entire tournament distance at once. Today, Serhiy Nagornya's wards took the hill over Kudryvka — 2:1.

However, the Chernihiv players were not overly concerned as they continue their fight for promotion in class. In the play-off matches, they will determine their relations with one of the outsiders of the UPL —  'Vorskla'.

Another pair will be Metalist 1925 and Left Bank. Slobozhans saved themselves from defeat in Volochysk on the 90th minute — 1:1. In this match, their actions were led by Oleksandr Chizhov, who replaced the dismissed Patrick van Leewen.

Play-off matches for places in the UPL will take place on May 29 and June 1.
