The women's national beach soccer team of Ukraine continued their participation in the qualifying stage of EuroLeague-2025, which is taking place in the Spanish town of El Puerto de Santa Maria.

After losing to Spain in the first match (2:4), today's game against England saw their team under Yuri Klimenko secure a victory. 

So it’s no surprise that our girls immediately took control, and on the 5th minute Irina Dubitska scored with a powerful shot from long distance. Just one minute later Margarita Yurasova hit the crossbar. 

At the beginning of the second period, Ukraine doubled their lead. Yulia Kostyuk outmaneuvered the English goalkeeper on a set play. Four minutes before halftime, Kostyuk scored her second goal by literally dribbling past two defenders. Just before the break, Oleksandra Skibina added another goal with a shot from outside.

In the final period, England managed to narrow the gap thanks to Alisa Miller's efforts, but Kostyuk restored the status quo just two minutes later by scoring her hat-trick.

Thus, 5-1 is a very important victory for Ukraine’s national team, securing them at least second place in their group.

Now, to determine the further fate of Ukraine's women’s national team on their way to the EuroLeague-2025 Super Final, we need to wait for tomorrow's match between Spain and England. But at least our girls have secured a spot in the knockout stage against the second-placed team from Group 2.

The second stage of the women's EuroLeague-2025 will take place from July 18 to 20 in Batumi, Georgia. The Super Final is scheduled for September 9 to 14 in Viareggio, Italy.
