Last week, the training sessions for referees of the first and second leagues of the PFL Ukraine were concluded at the capital's House of Football.

Leading experts and instructors from the Referees Committee of the Ukrainian Football Association (UFA) were involved in organizing the event, preparing educational materials on topics aimed at achieving a unified interpretation of game episodes during practical refereeing matches.

In her speech, the head of the Referees Committee of the UFA, Kateryna Monzul, emphasized the requirements for a modern referee, his rational movement and proper positioning on the field to ensure objective assessment of moments and well-considered decisions. She stressed that all these aspects must comply with methodological recommendations from FIFA, UEFA, and UFA.

Those responsible for preparing referees — Anatoliy Abdulayev (first league) and Yurii Mozharovskyy (second league) — conducted a detailed analysis of refereeing in the autumn part of competitions. They provided participants with recommendations that meet modern requirements for interpreting game situations, as well as advice to improve the quality of refereeing in the spring season.

FIFA referee Anastasiia Romanuk presented a substantive presentation on the psychological preparation of referees for matches. Instructors Volodymyr Vovk and Yurii Syryak focused on the work of assistant referees, providing them with clear instructions regarding the interpretation of the "offside" position according to modern standards.

At the end of the theoretical part of the gathering, all referees and assistant referees at the V. Bannikov Training Base successfully passed FIFA physical fitness tests.
