In the first play-off match of the Nations League against Belgium, Ukraine secured a convincing victory (3:1). Universal player of our team Oleksandr Zinchenko shared his impressions from the game and was the author of an assist.

"I think the right words were chosen in the dressing room by the coaching staff, and everyone contributed their comments. As a result, we slightly improved our play. We added more dynamism in the second half and started to act bolder upfront. We understood that it's very difficult to play against such teams, but we needed to apply pressure to control the ball. I believe we have all the qualities to play football — even sometimes as a first number — against such national teams.

I've already said in the team or at the club that I always try to help the team however I can. No matter what position the coach puts me in, I'll give my all. The second match will be tough for us. We all understand this. It's a away game and the fans will push the Belgians forward. Now we need to recover," — said Oleksandr Zinchenko.

We remind you that the return play-off match of the Nations League for the right to participate in the next elite division A tournament will take place on Sunday, March 23rd in Ghent. The start of the meeting — at 8:45 PM Kyiv time.
