Today, March 8th, the Ukrainian women's national team WU-17 started their second round qualification for Euro-2025 in Group A with a match against the hosts in Murcia, Spain.

As a reminder, the Ukrainian women's national team WU-17 secured first place in their group during the first round of League B and qualified to advance to League A. Prior to these matches, our girls held training sessions in Ternopil where they played a friendly match against Zhytomyr Polissya (2:3). Afterward, the blue-and-yellow team traveled through Krakow before heading to Spain.

Today in Murcia at Pinatar Arena, our team began their mini-tournament in Group A1. In the first match, the Ukrainians faced off against the hosts. The Spaniards held a significant advantage and scored two goals. Near the end of the game, the blue-and-yellow team managed to score one goal — Vorobyova capitalized on a breakaway after receiving a pass from Ivanchenko deep in their own half. However, our girls ultimately lost — 1:2.

The next match for the second round qualification will be against Belgium's team on March 11th.

In the second round of qualification, seven teams will join Faroe Islands at the final stage of the European Championship for women's under-17 teams. Additionally, teams that move from one league to another will be determined. The seeding for the draw in the second round was based on the positions held by the teams during the first round.

In League A, seven groups with 28 teams are playing, including seven teams that advanced from League B after the first round results. Seven group winners in League A will secure spots at the final stage of the tournament, which will take place between May 4 and May 17, 2025. Teams finishing fourth in their groups will start the next season in League B.

In League B, 21 teams across six groups are competing for promotion to League A for the next round of qualification.
