In 2025, for the first time in history, the World Cup for players under 17 years old will feature 48 national teams. The team from Ukraine also has a chance to participate.

Last year, FIFA adopted a reformative decision according to which the next five U-17 World Cups (2025–2029) will take place annually with 48 participants and will always be held in Qatar.

The CHS-2025 (U-17) will take place from November 5 to November 27. The host team received its license automatically. Also, three spots are already secured by Oceania's youth champions—New Zealand, Fiji, and New Caledonia. The remaining 44 slots will be contested in regional championships of the corresponding age category throughout 2025.

Quotas for CHS-2025 (U-17)

• Europe — 11 (March 19–25);
• Africa — 10 (March 30–April 19);
• Asia — 8 (April 3–20);
• CONCACAF — 8 (February 7–16);
• South America — 7 (March 27–April 12).

Eleven lucky winners from Europe will be determined based on the results of the second round of qualification for Euro-2025 (U-17). The champions of seven groups in League A and four best teams among seconds will travel to Qatar.

The Ukrainian youth team for Euro-2025 (U-17) was drawn into Group A1 along with Italy, Croatia, and Slovakia. It has been determined that the mini-tournament will take place from March 19 to March 25 in Croatia. Only the group winner advances to the final tournament.
