The Extraordinary FIFA Congress, attended by all 211 member associations, today ratified the decisions on the hosts of the World Cups in 2030 and 2034.
As FIFA's official website reports, the 2030 World Cup will be hosted by Morocco, Portugal, and Spain. Additionally, three matches to commemorate the centenary of football world cups will take place in Argentina, Paraguay, and Uruguay. This will be the first World Cup in history to be held on three continents. Saudi Arabia will host the 2034 World Cup.
This decision concludes a thorough process that was initiated in October 2023 after the FIFA Council's proposal, supported by all confederations, regarding regional rotation during the hosting of World Cups.
The Extraordinary FIFA Congress also approved the principles for forming the budget of the Club World Cup 2025, according to which all revenues will be reinvested in club football.
