Oleksandr Kosenko: "Our team rewards the fans with amazing performances"
Head coach of Ukraine’s futsal national team, Oleksandr Kosenko, shared his thoughts on the 9:4 quarterfinal victory over Venezuela at the FIFA Futsal World Cup 2024 in Uzbekistan and the team's advancement to the semifinals.
“We’re filled with emotions. We are delighted to be among the top four teams in the world. It’s fantastic! I want to thank the players, the fans, everyone who supports us, and the Armed Forces of Ukraine for giving us this opportunity. Our team rewards the fans with amazing performances, dedication, and skill. I’m very proud of them!
We’ve done a tremendous amount of work. The players have worked extremely hard, and it paid off on the court. Their effort hasn’t gone unnoticed, and that’s crucial for growth. When you put in the work, it rewards you,” Kosenko said, as reported by the exclusive broadcaster Suspilne Sport.
It’s worth noting that Ukraine’s futsal national team will play in the World Cup semifinals for the first time since 1996. They will face Brazil on October 2 in Tashkent.
