Oleksandr Kosenko: "With each game, we'll feel more confident"
The head coach of the Ukraine futsal team, Oleksandr Kosenko, commented on the victory in the Futsal World Cup 2024 match against Afghanistan (4:1) and the team's advancement to the Round of 16.
"We prepared and planned to reach the playoffs. We did it, but as we said, step by step, we will try to move forward. I thank the guys. I believe this is futsal that the spectators enjoyed. We will prepare for the upcoming matches.
I think with each game, we will feel more confident. We have already experienced the atmosphere of the World Cup, and the players understand what it is like. I don’t think it will be too psychologically pressuring," said Oleksandr Kosenko, as quoted by the exclusive match broadcaster Suspilne Sport.
In the Round of 16, the Blue and Yellows will face Netherlands. The match will take place on September 24 in Tashkent.
