"&The UEFA PLAYMAKERS program not only gave me a boost in my professional career because it is truly innovative, but also influenced my life: we united with our colleague, another coach, Olena, in the desire to make the most interesting sessions for girls. Later, we decided to unite our lives in marriage. We are very happy that everything turned out this way. Now there is a war, but we continue our program and want to do everything as best as possible for our little PLAYMAKERS girls because we see that our classes provide them with the necessary psychological support."& — noted Igor Ohrymchuk.

"&Before, we thought that a girl and football were completely incompatible, and girls usually prefer other sports. But thanks to the UEFA PLAYMAKERS program, which provided an entertaining and safe start to playing football accompanied by Disney stories, our little daughter fell in love with football. During classes, she made new friends and acquired skills in playing football. After training, the child is always satisfied and active. Each subsequent training session is different from the previous one. A pleasant bonus after sessions is watching Disney movies. We thank our coaches for their individual approach to each child, for instilling a love of football, and for their professionalism."&

Goals of the UEFA PLAYMAKERS program implemented by the Ukrainian Football Association:

  • to introduce girls to football by creating an environment where fun, friends, and football are at the center;
  • to introduce a new individual coaching approach that uses imagination (inspired by Disney stories and characters) as a tool for training and acquiring football skills;
  • to develop life skills, basic movement skills, and teach the basics of football to foster lifelong interest in the sport.
