U-16: Ukraine to begin tournament in Japan on June 19

The Ukraine U-16 team (players born in 2008 or later) will participate in the Dream Cup 2024 tournament in Japan.

The competition will occur from June 19 to 23 at the J-Village Stadium in Fukuoka. At the tournament, the blue-yellows, preparing for the Euro-2025 (U-17) qualifiers, will face peers from Japan, Senegal, and Venezuela.

On June 15, our team started training camp, and on the 19th, they will play their first match against the hosts. The game will begin at 09:00 Kyiv time.

“We have more information about Japan, whom we will play in the first match. As for the other opponents, we will learn more about them during the tournament.

I am sure this will be an interesting and valuable competition for the Ukraine team, as we will face representatives from different continents and different football philosophies. My only concern is whether our boys will acclimate in the two days we have before the tournament starts,” said the head coach of the Ukrainian youth team, Yuriy Moroz.
