EURO 2024 amputee football: Ukraine defeated by France in opening game

Today, June 1st, marks the kickoff of the European Championship among amputee players. In their first match in Group A, Ukraine's national team suffered a defeat against France and unfortunately missed a penalty kick.

Also competing in the quartet are teams from Spain and Belgium, against whom the blue-yellow squad will play on June 3rd and 4th respectively.

The European Championship among amputee players will take place in France until June 8th. Overall, 16 teams will participate in the championship.

Group A: France, Spain, Ukraine, Belgium.

Group B: England, Italy, Georgia, Netherlands.

Group C: Turkey, Ireland, Israel, Azerbaijan.

Group D: Poland, Germany, Greece, Scotland.
