The women's national team of Lithuania officially canceled matches against the supporters of terrorists — the Belarusian national team, which were scheduled to take place within the Euro-2025 qualifying tournament on May 31 and June 4.

As reported by the official website of the Lithuanian Football Federation, UEFA has already confirmed this fact and imposed sanctions on our friends: in both encounters the Baltic team received technical losses with a score of 0-3, and its federation must pay a fine of 5,000 euros.

"Finally, this issue was officially resolved, and now we can look forward. We received such sanctions as could have been expected, and most importantly, our national team's path to the tournament finale has not been closed. If we win the last two matches, we will have a chance to fight for second place in the group and qualify for the next stage."

On their part, the UAF sent an official letter to the leadership of the LFF signed by President Andriy Shevchenko and General Secretary Igor Gryshchuk.

"Allow us once again to express our sincere respect and gratitude for your constant, reliable, and strong support for Ukraine — this is mentioned in the letter. In addition, we highly appreciate the public position and comments of the LFF leadership, which remind the world that the brutal war in Ukraine has not yet ended and the football family should not forget it and silently endure."
