WU-16: Ukraine clinched second victory at UEFA Development Tournament
The Ukraine WU-16 women's national team continued their campaign at the UEFA Development Tournament in Bosnia and Herzegovina with a win against their counterparts from North Macedonia.
The revamped roster of the Ukrainian women's national team in this age category (born in 2008-2009) held a brief training camp in Lviv before heading to Hadzici in Bosnia and Herzegovina for the UEFA Development Tournament.
The opponents for the Ukrainian team are the hosts, as well as their peers from North Macedonia and Slovenia. Each team will play three matches. Three points will be awarded for a victory, while in the case of a draw, a series of post-match penalties will be held, with the winner receiving two points and the team that isn’t successful receiving one point.
The Ukrainian team started with a victory against Slovenia (3:1), and in today's match (April 20), they faced off against peers from North Macedonia. The blue-yellows emerged victorious with a commanding scoreline of 4:0. Goals were scored by Darya Zhukova, Adriana Kushnir (brace), and Karina Lespukh.
The final match for our girls will be against the team from Bosnia and Herzegovina on April 22.
