In April, the Chernivtsi team Spirit of Soccer Ukraine became a co-organizer of a large project dedicated to teaching children about avoiding explosive hazardous items and mines.

In April, the Chernivtsi-based coaching team Spirit of Soccer Ukraine became a co-organizer of a large-scale project dedicated to teaching children how to avoid explosive ordnance and mines.

At the gymnasium № 15 in Chernivtsi, within the framework of Volunteer Day, coaches held a football festival where participants from various age categories actively took part. This educational institution has a large number of students from families of IDPs (internally displaced persons — Ed.), who plan to return to their homes in Eastern and Southern Ukraine in the future.

Along with coaches, participants not only had an active and fun time but also joined discussions on a critically important topic — the threat of explosive ordnance and mines and the algorithm for action upon their discovery. The main messages of the training were within the scope of the Ukraine Mine Action Centre EORE (Explosive Ordnance Risk Education) course — STAY AWAY, DO NOT TOUCH, COMMUNICATE AND REPORT!

The festival took place with the support and backing of the UAF, AAFU, regional football association, and international organization Spirit of Soccer.
