Note to your attention — operational information from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 6:00 on February 5, 2024, regarding the Russian invasion of our country. 

Glory to Ukraine! The seven hundred and twelfth day of Russia's large-scale military aggression against Ukraine has begun.

The enemy continues to ignore the laws and customs of war, using terrorism tactics, carrying out missile and air strikes, shelling both military positions and numerous civilian objects in our country with multiple rocket launchers.

During the past day, 78 combat encounters took place. In total, the enemy carried out one missile strike and 43 air raids, conducted 51 shelling attacks from multiple rocket launcher systems on positions of our troops and populated areas. As a result of Russian terrorist attacks, unfortunately, there are injured among the civilian population. Residential buildings and other civilian infrastructure have been damaged.

Air strikes were carried out in Mala Vovcha, Ustynivka, Vilkhuvatka, Khatne, Boryslav, Kamyanka, Kolodyazhne, Synykhivka, Petrovivka, Kucherivka, Ivanivka, Kyslivka, Kotlyaryvka, Krychmalne, Pishchanе of the Kharkiv region; Avdiivka, Novomykhailivka, Katerynivka, Staryy Mayor of the Donetsk region.

Over 150 populated areas in Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipropetrovsk, Kherson and Mykolaiv regions were under artillery fire.

In the area of responsibility of OSUM "North" on the Volynian and Polesian directions, the operational situation remains unchanged.

On the Northern and Slobozhanskyi directions the enemy maintains military presence in border areas, conducts active sabotage activities to prevent our troops from redeploying to threatening directions, increases mine-explosive obstacles along the state border in Belgorod region.

In the area of responsibility of OSUM "Khortytsia" on the Kupyansk direction, the enemy did not conduct offensive (assault) operations.

On the Lyman direction, Ukrainian soldiers repelled three attacks by the enemy in the area of Ternevo, Donetsk region.

On the Bakhmut direction, defensive forces repelled three attacks by the enemy near populated areas of Bogdanivka and Klyshchyivka, Donetsk region.

In the area of responsibility of OSUM "Tavria" on the Avdiyivka direction, Ukrainian defenders continue to hold back the enemy who does not give up attempts to encircle Avdiivka. Our soldiers firmly hold their defense, inflicting significant losses on aggressors. Thus, defensive forces repelled 31 attacks by the enemy in the area of Novobakhmutivka, Stepove, Avdiivka and another 13 attacks near Tonynky, Severnyy, Pervomayskyy, Nevelsky Donetsk region during the past day.

On the Mariupol direction, Ukrainian soldiers continue to hold back the enemy near Georgiyivka and Novomykhailivka of the Donetsk region, where 14 attacks were repelled.

On the Shakhtarsk direction, the enemy did not conduct offensive (assault) operations.

On the Zaporizhzhia direction, defensive forces repelled four attacks by the enemy north of Pryyutne and Robotino, Zaporizhzhia region.

In the area of responsibility of OSUM "Odessa" on the Kherson direction, defensive forces continue to hold positions and repel assaults by occupying troops. Despite significant losses, the enemy does not give up attempts to dislodge our units from occupied positions. Thus, during the past day, the enemy carried out three unsuccessful assault operations.

At the same time, Ukrainian soldiers actively inflict casualties and damage to occupation forces in manpower and equipment, exhausting the enemy along the entire front line.

During the past day, aviation of defensive forces carried out strikes on five areas of concentration of enemy personnel.
