Note to your attention — operational information from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 6:00 on February 2, 2024 regarding the Russian invasion of our country.

Glory to Ukraine! The seven hundred and ninety-first day of Russia's large-scale military aggression against Ukraine has begun.

The enemy continues to ignore the laws and customs of war, using tactics of terror, carrying out missile and air strikes, shelling with multiple rocket launchers not only military targets but also numerous civilian objects in our country.

During the past day, 63 combat encounters took place. In total, the enemy carried out two missile attacks, one of which — a guided air-launched cruise missile X-59 on the civilian infrastructure of Myronivskyi in Donetsk Oblast. The occupiers also carried out 85 air strikes and conducted 79 shelling operations with multiple rocket launchers against our positions and populated areas. As a result of Russian terrorist attacks, unfortunately, there are casualties among civilians. Residential private and multi-apartment buildings, schools, and other civilian infrastructure were damaged.

During the night, Russian occupiers carried out another attack using 25 Shahed-136/131 tactical drones. Ukrainian air defense forces destroyed eleven enemy drones.

Air strikes hit Volchans'k, Vylhuvatka, Kolyadyne, Synykhivka, Pyskan'e in Kharkiv Oblast; Bilohorivka in Luhansk Oblast; Terny, Spirene, Suka Balka, Novobakhmutivka, Novokalynove, Ocheretinivka, Avdiivka, Orlivka, Novomikhailivka, Kostiantynivka, Elizavetivka, Vuhledar, Novodonetske, StaroMayoriske in Donetsk Oblast; Novodaryvka in Zaporizhzhia Oblast; Novokayri, Chervonyi Mayak, Novoberislavske, Berislavske, Krynytsi in Kherson Oblast.

More than 150 populated areas in Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipropetrovsk, Kherson, and Mykolaiv oblasts came under artillery fire.

In the area of responsibility of OSUM "North" on the Volynian and Polesian fronts, the operational situation remains unchanged.

On the Northern and Slobozhanskyi fronts the enemy maintains military presence in border areas, conducts active sabotage activities to prevent our forces from redeploying to threatening sectors, and increases mine-explosive barriers along the state border in Belgorod Oblast.

In the area of responsibility of OSUM "Khortytsia" on the Kupyansk front, Ukrainian forces repelled five enemy attacks near Ivanivka, Kharkiv Oblast.

On the Lyman front Ukrainian soldiers repelled an attack by occupiers in the area of Terny, Donetsk Oblast.

On the Bakhmut front, defensive forces repelled an enemy attack near Klyshchyivka, Donetsk Oblast.

In the area of responsibility of OSUM "Tavria" on the Avdiyivka front, Ukrainian defenders continue to hold back the enemy who does not give up attempts to encircle Avdiyivka. Our soldiers steadfastly defend their positions, inflicting heavy losses on the aggressors. Thus, defensive forces repelled 16 enemy attacks in the vicinity of Avdiyivka and another six attacks near Perevomayske and Nevelskoye, Donetsk Oblast.

On the Mariupol front, Ukrainian soldiers continue to hold back the enemy near Krasnogorovka, Georgiyevka, and Novomikhailivka in Donetsk Oblast, where 11 attacks were repelled.

On the Shakhtarsk front Ukrainian defenders repelled an attack by the enemy south of Zolotoye Niva, Donetsk Oblast.

On the Zaporizhzhia front, defensive forces repelled an attack by occupiers in the area of Robotino, Zaporizhzhia Oblast.

In the area of responsibility of OSUM "Odessa" on the Kherson front, defensive forces continue to hold positions and repel assaults by occupying troops. Despite heavy losses, the enemy does not give up attempts to drive our units from occupied positions. Thus, during the past day, the enemy carried out 14 unsuccessful assault operations.

At the same time, Ukrainian forces actively inflict casualties on occupation troops in manpower and equipment, exhausting the enemy along the entire front line.

During the day, aviation of defensive forces delivered strikes against 13 areas of concentration of personnel, weapons, and military equipment, as well as one air defense missile complex of the enemy.

Subunits of rocket troops delivered strikes against two areas of concentration of personnel, weapons, and military equipment, four artillery systems, and a radio-electronic warfare station of the enemy.

Also, during the past day, forces of GUR MOD Ukraine destroyed a missile boat of the 41st brigade of missile boats of the Black Sea Fleet in the western part of temporarily occupied Crimea.
