Note to your attention — operational information from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 10:00 on January 11, 2024 regarding the Russian invasion of our country.

Glory to Ukraine! The six hundred eighty-seventh day of large-scale military aggression by the Russian Federation against Ukraine has begun.

The Russian Federation continues to ignore laws and customs of war, uses tactics of terror, carries out missile and air strikes, conducts artillery shelling not only at military but also at civilian objects in our country.

During the past day, 73 combat engagements took place. In total, the enemy carried out four missile and 48 air strikes, conducted 36 shelling with multiple rocket launchers on positions of our troops and populated areas. As a result of Russian terrorist attacks, unfortunately, there are fatalities and injuries among civilians. Civilian buildings and other civilian infrastructure were damaged.

Air raids by Russian occupiers affected: Vylcha, Vilkhuvatka, Petro Pavlivka, Kucherivka, Podolye, Lysychansk in the Kharkiv region; Seredynskyi Forest District in the Luhansk region; Terny, Avdiivka, Novomykhailivka in the Donetsk region.

More than 120 populated areas in Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipropetrovsk, Kherson and Mykolaiv regions came under artillery fire from Russian aggressors.

In the area of responsibility of the operational-strategic grouping of troops "North" on the Volynian and Polesian directions, the operational situation remains unchanged.

On the Northern and Slobozhanskyi directions the enemy maintains military presence in border areas, conducts active sabotage activities to prevent our troops from redeploying to threatening directions, increases mine-explosive barriers along the state border in the Belgorod region.

In the area of responsibility of the operational-strategic grouping of troops "Khortytsia" on the Kupyansk direction, Ukrainian soldiers repelled five enemy attacks near Sinykhivka in Kharkiv region.

On the Lyman direction Ukrainian defenders repelled six attacks by occupiers east of Terny and Veseloye in Donetsk region.

On the Bakhmut direction our soldiers repelled an attack near Klyshchyivka in Donetsk region.

In the area of responsibility of the operational-strategic grouping of troops "Tavria" on the Avdiyivka direction, Ukrainian defenders continue to hold back the enemy, who does not give up attempts to encircle Avdiyivka. Our soldiers firmly hold their defense, inflicting heavy losses on aggressors. Thus, during the past day, our forces repelled nine attacks by the enemy in the areas of Novobakhmutivka, Avdiyivka, Severnyi and another 15 attacks near Pervomaiskoye and Nevelskye in Donetsk region.

On the Mariupol direction Ukrainian forces continue to hold back the enemy in the areas of Mariupol and Novomykhailivka in Donetsk region, where they repelled 16 attacks.

On the Shakhtarsk direction the enemy did not conduct offensive actions.

On the Zaporizhzhia direction Ukrainian defenders repelled five enemy attacks near Robotino and west of Verbovskoye in Zaporizhzhia region.

In the area of responsibility of the operational-strategic grouping of troops "Odessa" on the Kherson direction, Ukrainian forces continue to take measures to expand their foothold on the left bank of the Dnipro River in Kherson region. Despite heavy losses, occupiers do not give up attempts to drive our units from occupied positions. Thus, during the past day, here the enemy carried out 11 unsuccessful assault operations against Ukrainian defense forces.

At the same time, Ukrainian soldiers continue active actions inflicting casualties in manpower and equipment on occupying troops along the entire front line.

During the day, aviation of the Ukrainian Defense Forces carried out strikes at seven areas of enemy personnel concentration. Also, with anti-aircraft means of Ukraine, a guided air-launched missile Kh-59 was destroyed.

Subunits of rocket troops inflicted damage on three areas of enemy personnel concentration, armaments and military equipment, command post, two ammunition depots and an electronic warfare station of the enemy.

Estimated losses of the enemy during the past day amounted to: 830 Russian occupiers, 12 tanks, 22 armored combat vehicles, 15 artillery systems, one multiple rocket launcher, two anti-aircraft means, one cruise missile, 21 vehicles and units of special equipment.
