President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky addressed the nation, particularly thanking everyone who was in battle, on combat posts, and on combat missions during New Year's night, as well as those who are treating our soldiers and volunteering with DSNС.

"I wish you good health, dear Ukrainians!

Yesterday, I signed several decrees — decrees honoring our servicemen and expressing our gratitude to them. And I want to talk about them today. Almost 700 soldiers. The Army. Air Force. Navy. GUO. Five Heroes of Ukraine, and four of them are scouts, soldiers of the Main Intelligence Directorate. Those whose heroic work we cannot yet speak about but whom we all owe a debt of gratitude. Our heroes. Another "Golden Star" of Hero of Ukraine — to soldier Igor Timoshchuk from the Armed Forces, junior sergeant, I personally presented him with this award during my visit to Avdiivka. This is a very strong young man. A powerful commander. One of those who truly inspire us. Four more soldiers are now awarded "Crosses of Combat Merit": soldier Oleh Duzhenko from the 130th Separate Reconnaissance Battalion, soldier Mykita Kalyaiev from the 115th Separate Mechanized Brigade of our Land Forces Reserve Corps, captain Bohdan Mazurenko from the 35th Separate Marine Brigade and major Roman Strizhyobik — 47th Separate Mechanized Brigade. Thank you, boys, each one! And such awards speak for themselves with their names and bravery that is all the more eloquent when fewer words are added to it. Work in Zaporizhzhia region. Outskirts of Gorlovka, Donetsk region. Kherson region, left bank of Dnipro river. Krasnyhorivka and Stepanovka, Donetsk region.

All these almost 700 soldiers honored today, as well as the doctors who are also being honored for saving our servicemen — all of them have shown themselves on the front lines in combat brigades, defending our people and all of Ukraine. On December 31st, January 1st, every holiday day, and every working day, our Ukraine is protected by such people, such Ukrainians and Ukrainian women. The strength and pride of our nation. And I want to especially thank everyone who is in battle, on combat posts, and on combat missions right now! Everyone on the front lines. Everyone defending our Ukrainian sky today — Kropyvnytskyi and region. Unfortunately, Russian strikes again today. And the boys will defend our sky tonight and tomorrow. Everyone treating our soldiers. Those volunteering with DSNС of Ukraine right now. In local government bodies. And everyone using New Year to organize another collection for the guys on the front lines. I thank each one who works and will work at our defense enterprises — without days off. And all those who, starting tomorrow, January 1st, will not waste time communicating with Ukraine's partners so that next year our country has as many resources to fight against Russian evil.

Thank you all!

Glory to Ukraine!»
