Note to attention — operational information from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 6:00 on December 26, 2023 regarding the Russian invasion of our country.

Glory to Ukraine! The six hundred and seventieth day of Russia's large-scale military aggression against Ukraine has begun.

During the past day, 98 combat engagements took place. In total, the enemy carried out one rocket and 42 air strikes, conducted 56 artillery attacks on our positions and populated areas. As a result of Russian terrorist attacks, unfortunately, there are casualties among civilians. Private residential buildings and other civilian infrastructure have been damaged or destroyed.

Yesterday, Russian occupiers once again attacked Ukraine using 18 Shahed-136/131 type UAVs. With air defense forces and means, 12 hostile UAVs were destroyed.

Air strikes hit the Seredynsky forest district in Luhansk region; Terny, Dybrova, Severnyy, Viyimka, Spirene, Veselye, Novobakhmutivka, and Novomykhailivka in Donetsk region.

Under artillery fire were nearly 100 populated areas in Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Kherson, and Mykolaiv regions.

In the area of responsibility of OSUM "North" on the Volynian and Polesian directions, the operational situation remains unchanged.

On the Northern and Slobozhansky directions the enemy maintains military presence in border areas, conducts active sabotage activities to prevent our troops from moving into threatening sectors, and increases mine-explosive obstacles along the state border in Belgorod region.

In the area of responsibility of OSUM "Khortytsia" on the Kupyansk direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled six enemy attacks near the populated area of Synkivka, Kharkiv region, where occupiers unsuccessfully attempted to break through our defenses.

On the Lyman direction defensive forces repelled 29 enemy attacks in the vicinity of Seredynsky forest district in Luhansk region and Veselo in Donetsk region.

On the Bakhmut direction our soldiers repelled four enemy attacks near the populated area of Bogdanivka, Donetsk region.

In the area of responsibility of OSUM "Tavria" on the Avdiyivka direction, Ukrainian defenders continue to hold back the enemy who does not give up attempts to encircle Avdiyivka. Our soldiers firmly hold their defense, inflicting heavy losses on aggressors. Thus, defensive forces repelled 27 attacks by occupiers east of Novobakhmutivka, Stepove, and Avdiyivka as well as another 13 — near Pervomayskoye and Nevelsky in Donetsk region.

On the Mariupol direction defensive forces continue to hold back the enemy in the vicinity of Novomykhailivka, Donetsk region, where our defenders repelled six attacks.

On the Shakhtarsk direction Ukrainian soldiers repelled three attacks by Russian troops near Staryy Mayorovskiy in Donetsk region.

On the Zaporizhzhia direction defensive forces repelled seven enemy attacks near Robotino and west of Verbovyye in Zaporizhzhia region.

In the area of responsibility of OSUM "Odessa" on the Kherson direction, defensive forces continue to carry out actions for expanding the foothold. Despite heavy losses, the enemy does not give up attempts to drive our units from occupied positions. Thus, during the past day, the enemy carried out 12 unsuccessful offensive operations and retreated.

At the same time, Ukrainian defensive forces continue active actions inflicting casualties on occupation troops in manpower and equipment, exhausting the enemy along the entire front line.

During the past day, air force of the defense forces carried out strikes against four areas of concentration of personnel, weapons, and military equipment of the enemy.

Subunits of rocket troops struck at four areas of concentration of personnel, weapons, and military equipment, two ammunition depots, and three anti-aircraft missile complexes of the enemy.
