To your attention — operational information from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 6:00 on December 22, 2023 regarding the Russian invasion of our country.

Glory to Ukraine! The six hundred sixty-seventh day of Russia's large-scale military aggression against Ukraine has begun.

The Russian Federation continues to ignore laws and customs of war, employs tactics of terror, carries out missile and air strikes, and shelled with multiple rocket launchers not only military but also numerous civilian objects in our country.

During the past day, 95 combat encounters took place. In total, the enemy carried out one missile strike and 61 air raids, conducted 71 artillery strikes on positions of our troops and populated areas with multiple rocket launchers. As a result of Russian terrorist attacks, unfortunately, there are casualties among civilians. Private residential buildings and other civilian infrastructure were damaged.

During the night, Russian occupiers attacked Ukraine again using 28 UAVs of Shahed-136/131 type. With air defense forces and means, 24 attacking UAVs were destroyed.

Air raids hit Sinkyvka, Petro-Pavlivka in the Kharkiv region; Nevskoje, Seriyebryanske village in Luhansk region; Terny, Spirene, Toretsk, Avdiivka, Veseloye, Novomykhailivka in Donetsk region; Novodarivka, Mala Tokmachka, Robotyne, Preobrazhenska in Zaporizhzhya region; Krynychi in Kherson region.

Under artillery fire were about 130 populated areas in Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Kherson and Mykolaiv regions.

In the area of responsibility of OSUM "North" «on the Volynian and Polesian directions» the operational situation remains unchanged.

On the Northern and Slobozhansky directions, the enemy maintains military presence in border areas, conducts active sabotage activities to prevent our troops from redeploying to threatening directions, increases mine-explosive obstacles along the state border in Belgorod region.

In the area of responsibility of OSUM "Khortytsia" «on the Kupyansk direction» Ukrainian defenders repelled 19 attacks near Sinkyvka in Kharkiv region and Stelmakhivka in Luhansk region, where the enemy tried to break through our troops' defense.

On the Lyman direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled four enemy attacks around Terny in Donetsk region.

On the Bakhmut direction, our soldiers repelled seven enemy attacks near Bogdanivka, Klyshchyvka and Andriyivka in Donetsk region.

In the area of responsibility of OSUM "Tavria" «on the Avdiivka direction» Ukrainian defenders continue to hold back the enemy, who does not give up attempts to encircle Avdiivka. Our soldiers firmly hold their defense, inflicting significant losses on occupiers. Defense forces repelled 22 attacks of the enemy east of Novokalynove, Novobakhmutivka and Avdiivka, as well as 13 attacks in the area of Pervomaysk in Donetsk region.

On the Mariupol direction, defense forces continue to hold back aggressors in the areas of Mariupol and Novomykhailivka in Donetsk region, where our defenders repelled 15 attacks.

On the Shakhtarsk direction, the enemy did not conduct offensive (assault) actions.

On the Zaporizhzhia direction, defense forces repelled seven enemy attacks west of Verbovsk and south of Robotyne in Zaporizhzhia region.

At the same time, on the Melitopol direction, our soldiers continue to inflict losses on occupying troops with active actions, exhausting the enemy along the entire front line.

In the area of responsibility of OSUM "Odessa" «on the Kherson direction» defense forces continue efforts to expand their foothold. Despite failures, the enemy did not give up on his goal of driving our units from occupied positions and carried out 12 unsuccessful assault actions. He received a worthy rebuff and retreated with losses. Our defenders conduct counter-battery fire, inflicting artillery strikes on enemy rear.

During the past day, air forces of defense forces inflicted strikes on 16 areas of concentration of personnel, weapons and military equipment as well as an anti-aircraft missile complex of the enemy.

Subunits of rocket troops struck nine areas of concentration of personnel, weapons and military equipment, three ammunition depots and an artillery system of the enemy.
