Today in the Football House premises, a final session took place within the framework of a training course for coaches – internally displaced persons under the UEFA C-license program. The next stage is to take an exam and receive diplomas. The initiative is being implemented in cooperation with the UN Agency for Refugees and thanks to a UEFA grant for supporting refugees.

After completing the training, participants met with First Vice President of the Ukrainian Football Association Vadim Kostyuchenko and Honored Coach of Ukraine, General Secretary of the All-Ukrainian Union of Football Coaches Anatoliy Buzyk. The representative of the UAF leadership presented coaches with sports kits and wished them success in nurturing young football talents in Ukraine. "May your contribution to the development of football in our country and working with very young players bring as bright emotions as those that today's stars of national teams are giving to Ukraine. Thank you for choosing football! Our joint successes in developing football, especially, depend on whether children who left abroad since February last year will return. We hope that after our Victory, all infrastructure will be restored and this will facilitate their return,"— Vadim Kostyuchenko noted.

Also, the First Vice President of the UAF informed that together with partners – the UN Agency for Refugees and charitable foundation "Rokada" – this year they organized the first tournament "Ukrainian Unity Cup", which highlights the role of football as a unique and powerful tool for uniting people and supports physical and mental health and integration of forcibly displaced persons into receiving communities. The tournament was organized in analogy to UEFA's initiative and UNHCR Euro Unity Cup.

We remind you that the UEFA C-license program provides qualified training according to UEFA requirements for coaches and enhances the level of knowledge, skills, and qualifications of coaches working with children's and amateur teams. The training, which began in September this year, includes a theoretical block and practical part involving work with children. During the recruitment process for participants, conducted by UAF together with UNHCR, emphasis was also placed on attracting as many women as possible to the educational process.

In addition, participants were acquainted with the functioning of an active football club – "YUKSA" (village Tarasivka, Kyiv region), where they went on a tour today and familiarized themselves with the methodology for working with children's teams. In December, candidates who successfully pass exams will receive a UEFA C-license.
