Note to attention — operational information from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 6:00 on November 22, 2023 regarding the Russian invasion of our country.

Glory to Ukraine! The six hundred thirty-seventh day of the large-scale military aggression by the Russian Federation against Ukraine has begun.

The enemy continues to ignore laws and customs of war, uses tactics of terror, carries out missile and air strikes, conducts artillery attacks with multiple rocket launchers not only on military but also on numerous civilian objects in our country.

During the night of November 21, Russian occupiers carried out an aerial strike against Ukraine, using Shahed-136/131 type drones. Counter-air defense destroyed nine out of ten attacking drones. During the night of November 22, the enemy again carried out another aerial strike on our country, deploying fourteen Shahed-136/131 type drones. All hostile drones were destroyed. Also, saboteurs attacked port infrastructure in Odessa city and Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi district of Odesa region with Kh-31P missiles, while a Kh-22 missile hit the city of Zaporizhzhia. The winged missile Kh-22 did not reach its target, falling into Zaporizhzhia Oblast on open terrain and damaging private homes of citizens with an explosive wave.

During the past day, there were 48 combat encounters. In total, the enemy carried out five missile attacks and sixty-one air strikes, conducted over sixty artillery attacks from multiple rocket launchers against our troops' positions and populated areas. As a result of Russian terrorist attacks, unfortunately, there are fatalities and injuries among civilians. Private residential buildings and other civilian infrastructure were damaged.

Air strikes hit: Leonivka, Popivka in Chernihiv Oblast; Seredyna-Buda in Sumy Oblast; Synkivka, Petro-Pavlivka in Kharkiv Oblast; Serebryanske forest management in Luhansk Oblast; Spirene, Andriyivka, Klychchyivka in Donetsk Oblast; Mala Tokmachka, Urozhayne in Zaporizhzhia Oblast; Zamievka, Novoberezivka, Kazatske in Kherson Oblast.

More than 150 populated areas in Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipropetrovsk and Kherson regions were under artillery fire.

In the area of responsibility of OSUM «North» on Volynian and Polesian directions, the operational situation remains unchanged.

On Northern and Slobozhanskyi directions the enemy maintains military presence in border areas, conducts active sabotage activities to prevent our troops from redeploying to threatening directions, increases the density of mine-explosive obstacles along the state border in Belgorod region.

In the area of responsibility of OSUM «Khortytsia» on Kupyansk direction, the enemy carried out assault actions near Sinykhivka and east of Petro-Pavlivka in Kharkiv Oblast, where our defense forces repelled three attacks.

On Lyman direction, the enemy carried out assault actions near Severnyi in Donetsk Oblast without success.

On Bakhmut direction, our defenders repelled five attacks by the enemy around Klychchyivka and east of Pivdenne in Donetsk Oblast. Ukrainian Defense Forces continue assault actions south of Bakhmut, inflicting losses on the enemy in manpower and equipment, consolidating their positions.

In the area of responsibility of OSUM «Tavria» on Avdiivka direction, occupiers do not give up attempts to encircle Avdiivka. Our soldiers firmly hold the defense, inflicting significant losses on the enemy. Unsuccessful were the offensive actions by the enemy east of Novobakhmutivka, Avdiivka, Severnyi and Pervomaisk in Donetsk Oblast, where our defense forces repelled thirteen attacks.

On Mariupol direction, the enemy carried out unsuccessful assault actions around Mariupol and Novomykhailivka in Donetsk Oblast. Here our soldiers repelled eighteen attacks.

On Shakhtarsk direction, occupiers conducted assaults near Staryy Mayor in Donetsk Oblast without success.

On Zaporizhzhia direction, the enemy carried out unsuccessful assault actions around Robotino and Kamianske in Zaporizhzhia Oblast.

At the same time, Ukrainian Defense Forces continue to conduct offensive operations on Melitopol direction, inflicting losses on occupation forces in manpower and equipment, exhausting the enemy along the entire front line.

In the area of responsibility of OSUM «Odessa» on Kherson direction, our soldiers continue to hold occupied positions on the left bank of the Dnipro River, conducting counter-battery fire and delivering artillery strikes against enemy rear areas.

During the day, aviation of the Defense Forces carried out an attack on a command post, six attacks on areas of concentration of personnel, weapons and military equipment, and two — on air defense missile systems of the enemy.

Subunits of rocket troops inflicted damage to a command post, three areas of concentration of personnel, weapons and military equipment, as well as two ammunition depots of the enemy.
