To your attention — operational information from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 6:00 on November 21, 2023 regarding the Russian invasion of our country.

Glory to Ukraine! The six hundred and thirty-sixth day of Russia's large-scale military aggression against Ukraine has begun.

The Russian Federation continues to ignore laws and customs of war, uses tactics of terror, carries out missile and air strikes, and shells both military and numerous civilian objects in our country with multiple rocket launchers.

Over the past day, 70 combat encounters took place. The enemy carried out five missile attacks, ten air strikes, and twenty shelling operations with multiple rocket launchers on positions of our troops and populated areas. As a result of Russian terrorist attacks, unfortunately, there are fatalities and injuries among civilians. Private residential buildings and other civilian infrastructure were damaged.

Last night, Russian occupiers carried out another attack on Ukraine using four S-300 air defense guided missiles, a cruise missile "Iskander-K," and eleven combat drones of the Shahed-136/131 type. Air defense forces destroyed the cruise missile "Iskander-K" and ten combat drones. The Central City Hospital in Selidove, Donetsk Oblast, the building of Kotsiaryvska mine, and other civilian infrastructure were damaged.

Air strikes hit Kostenbobriwcha Chernihiv Oblast; Seredyna-Buda Sumy Oblast.

Over 110 populated areas in Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipropetrovsk, and Kherson oblasts came under artillery fire.

In the area of responsibility of OSUM "North" on the Volynian and Polesian directions, the operational situation remains unchanged.

On the Northern and Slobozhanskyi directions the enemy maintains military presence in border areas, conducts active sabotage activities to prevent our troops from redeploying to threatening sectors, and increases mine-explosive obstacles along the state border in Belgorod Oblast.

In the area of responsibility of OSUM "Khortytsia" on the Kupyansk direction, the enemy carried out assault actions in the areas of Synkivka and east of Petrovka, Kharkiv Oblast, where our defense forces repelled ten attacks.

On the Lyman direction, occupiers did not conduct offensive (assault) operations.

On the Bakhmut direction, our defenders repelled 20 enemy attacks in the areas of Klyshchyvka, Andriyivka and east of Southern, Donetsk Oblast. Also, Ukrainian defense forces continue offensive actions south of Bakhmut, inflicting losses on the enemy in manpower and equipment, and consolidating their positions.

In the area of responsibility of OSUM "Tavria" on the Avdiivka direction, the occupiers do not give up attempts to encircle Avdiivka. Our soldiers steadfastly hold the defense and inflict significant losses on the enemy. The enemy's offensive actions east of Novobakhmutivka, Stepanovka, Avdiivka and Perevalskiy, Donetsk Oblast were unsuccessful; our defenders repelled ten attacks.

On the Mariupol direction, the enemy carried out unsuccessful assault operations in the areas of Mariinka, Pobedy and Novomykhailivka, Donetsk Oblast, where our defenders repelled twelve attacks.

On the Shakhtarsk direction, the enemy carried out unsuccessful assault actions in the area of Staromayorskoye, Donetsk Oblast, where our defenders repelled two attacks.

On the Zaporizhzhia direction, the enemy conducted assault operations near Robotino and northwest of Verbovka, Zaporizhzhia Oblast, without success.

At the same time, Ukrainian defense forces continue to conduct offensive operations on the Melitopol direction, inflicting losses on the occupiers in manpower and equipment, exhausting the enemy along the entire front line.

In the area of responsibility of OSUM "Odessa" on the Kherson direction, defense forces continue to hold positions on the left bank of the Dnipro River, conducting counter-battery fire and striking at enemy rear areas.

Over the past day, aviation of the defense forces carried out two strikes in areas where enemy personnel are concentrated.
