President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky addressed the nation, speaking about a major meeting with military personnel in Kherson and his working visit to Mykolaiv.

"I wish health to all dear Ukrainians,

Today I am together with my team in Kherson, in Mykolaiv. Many tasks.

Meeting with military personnel - Chief of General Staff Zaluzhnyi, head of the General Staff Shaptała, commander of OSUV "Odessa" Gnatiuk and commander of marine infantry Sodol, head of State Border Service general Denyko. Special format, narrow circle. Regarding the situation in Kherson and the region overall on the south, as well as in Donetsk - especially Avdiivka. I thank all our boys who are holding the defense firmly day by day and destroying the occupier. These days Russian losses really shock, and such losses of the occupier are needed for Ukraine. We also discussed the Kupyansk direction in Kharkiv region.

I held a meeting in Mykolaiv - regional leaders, city officials, military personnel, law enforcement officers - regarding the protection of the region, our infrastructure, our ports, corridors in the Black Sea. We also analyzed social issues that are important for Mykolaiv and cities and villages of the region: energy supply, heating provision, water supply to Mykolaiv and the region, quality of water supplied to the city, social support for people, economic work. Everything that really needs attention at all levels of government.

I am especially grateful to Denmark for its active support of Mykolaiv, for sincere help to the city - exactly as we agreed with Ms Prime Minister Frederiksen.

I visited our soldiers in a hospital in Mykolaiv who are undergoing treatment after combat injuries. I thanked them for their strength and thanked doctors for their dedication.

An important report by the regional head of SBU regarding the protection of Mykolaiv and the region from Russian sabotage activities and collaborators. Thank you for your work, guys!

Special attention - air defense against Russian bombs and rockets. We are working to strengthen air defenses. I thank everyone around the world who is helping.

In particular, I spoke with Olaf Scholz - about air defense. Together we work so that "Patriots" in Ukrainian hands can do more this winter. I invited Germany to participate in a meeting of parliamentarians regarding the Peace Formula we are preparing at the end of October. We discussed with the Chancellor the situation in the Middle East as well. Thank you, Olaf, for our agreements being strictly implemented.

Very important, even historic speech was by President Biden yesterday. We spoke - a good conversation. Now there is his address - strong and timely, which really adds confidence. I thank him for the unwavering support of Ukraine. The democratic world understands how crucial Ukraine's resilience is for the freedom of all free nations. Not just in Europe. We can overcome all threats.

Inspiring was also President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen's speech yesterday. I am grateful to Ms President for her clear call to accelerate the path of Ukraine towards victory. And to everyone in Europe, in the free world - be united as much as necessary to defeat terrorists who want to destroy our states and lives. Europe must win, not those trying to turn our lives into ruins.

And one more thing.

Today is 20 years since the Border Guard Service of Ukraine was established. Heroic soldiers. I had the honor today to greet them and award them with state honors. I held a separate meeting with border guards regarding the tasks they perform effectively. And I am proud that the Border Guard Service of Ukraine, its units are becoming only stronger. Glory to all of you, soldiers! Glory to our strong nation! Thank you, Kherson, Mykolaiv, for today.

Glory to Ukraine!"
