To your attention — operational information from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 10:00 on October 14, 2023 regarding the Russian invasion of our country.

Glory to Ukraine! The fifth hundred and ninety-eighth day of Russia's large-scale military aggression against Ukraine continues.

The Russian Federation continues to ignore laws and customs of war, employs the Kremlin's typical tactic of terror, carries out missile and air strikes, and shells both military and a significant number of civilian objects in our country with multiple rocket launchers.

Forces of Ukraine's defense continue to conduct defensive operations on the east and south of Ukraine, an offensive operation on the Melitopol direction, and offensive actions on the Bakhmut direction, destroying the enemy, gradually liberating temporarily occupied territories, and consolidating their positions.

Kremlin terrorist troops cynically carried out a missile strike on a children's creativity house in the center of Pokrovsk city, Donetsk region. As a result of targeted hits, over 20 civilians were injured, two administrative buildings partially destroyed.

During the past day, nearly 100 combat encounters took place. In total, the enemy carried out three missile and 59 air strikes, conducted 54 shelling with multiple rocket launchers on our troops' positions and populated areas. As a result of Russian terrorist attacks, unfortunately, there are casualties among civilians. Private residential buildings and other civilian infrastructure were damaged.

Air raids hit Leonivka, Hremincha Chernihiv region; Popivka Sumy region; Synkivka, Ivanivka, Kislivka, Pyskanе Kharkiv region; Nevske, Bilotoretske, Novolubivka, Serhiyanivske forest Luhansk region; Sperne, White Mountain, Oleksandr-Shulhine, New York, Novokalynove, Avdiivka, Mariinka, Novomykhailivka, Stary Maiorske Donetsk region; Robotyne Zaporizhzhia region; Kozatske, Otradkamianka, Mykolayivka, Olhivka, Vysokie, Ulyanovka Kherson region.

Artillery fire affected nearly 130 populated areas in Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia and Kherson regions.

In the area of responsibility of OSUM "North" on the Volyn and Polesie directions, the operational situation remains unchanged.

On the Northern and Slobozhansky directions the enemy maintains military presence in border areas, conducts active sabotage activities to prevent our troops from redeploying to threatening sectors, increases mine-explosive barriers along the state border in Belgorod region.

In the area of responsibility of OSUM "Khortytsia" on the Kupyansk direction, Ukrainian soldiers repelled more than 20 enemy attacks near Synkivka, Ivanivka and Kislivka Kharkiv region.

On the Lysychansk direction Forces of Defense continue to hold back the enemy's advance in the area of Makеivka Luhansk region. Here our defenders repelled more than five enemy attacks.

On the Bakhmut direction Ukrainian soldiers continue offensive actions south of Bakhmut Donetsk region, inflicting losses on occupiers in manpower and equipment, consolidating their positions.

In the area of responsibility of OSUM "Tavria" on the Avdiivka direction, the enemy does not give up attempts to break through our defense but without success. Our defenders repelled nearly 20 enemy attacks in the areas of populated places Avdiivka, Keramik, Tonetske, Severne, Pervomaiske, Netaylove Donetsk region.

On the Mariupol direction during the past day Forces of Defense successfully repelled nearly 15 enemy attacks in the area of Mariinka Donetsk region.

On the Shakhtarsk direction the enemy conducted unsuccessful offensive actions with air support in the area of Stary Maiorske Donetsk region.

On the Zaporizhzhia direction the enemy unsuccessfully tried to restore lost positions near Robotyne Zaporizhzhia region.

In the area of responsibility of OSUM "Odessa" on the Kherson direction, Forces of Defense conduct counter-battery fire, destroy supply depots and successfully target enemy rear areas.

Forces of Defense Ukraine continue offensive operations on the Melitopol direction, inflicting losses on occupying troops in manpower and equipment, exhausting the enemy.

The enemy suffers significant losses on the battlefield. Thus, only over the last three days during offensive actions near Krasnogorivka Donetsk region, enemy losses amounted to more than 100 irretrievable, most of them due to lack of evacuation from the battlefield, as well as nearly 200 wounded.

During the day, aviation of Forces of Defense carried out 12 strikes on areas of concentration of personnel reserves, weapons and military equipment and a bridge of the enemy. Also, our defenders destroyed Russian fighter-bomber Su-25 and tactical unmanned aerial vehicle "Orlan-10".

Subunits of rocket troops hit command post, area of concentration of personnel reserves, weapons and military equipment, ammunition depot and radar station of the enemy.

Estimated losses of the enemy over the past day amounted to: 970 occupiers, nine tanks, 24 armored combat vehicles, 26 artillery systems, one air defense system, one aircraft, one tactical unmanned aerial vehicle, 22 vehicles and four units of special equipment.
