Ukraine national team defender Oleksandr Svynok spoke about the continuation of the team's preparation for qualification matches against North Macedonia and Malta for Euro 2024.

Yesterday, Ukraine's national team conducted another evening training session at the FC "Sparta" training center. Unlike previous sessions, it took place under favorable conditions — sunshine and almost spring warmth instead of wind and rain.

This morning, defender Oleksandr Svynok and goalkeeper Dmytro Ryshnyk joined the camp, bringing the national team's squad to full strength. Svynok shared his impressions from his first training session at this gathering.

“It’s always pleasant to come to the national team, so I’m very satisfied. It took me a couple of days to get here, but that doesn’t matter. The main thing is that I arrived and got involved in the process.”

“The coaching staff is already giving us an idea of what they want to see in our next match against North Macedonia. So we are starting to work on game schemes. We have very interesting intensive training sessions going on. It’s a bit tough after the journey, but I ran today, so it will be easier tomorrow. I don’t ask for any concessions from the coaches related to my arrival today. If I’m late for the gathering — I need to make up for it.”

“North Macedonia is a very strong opponent. We saw that in our first match, and how they played against Italy. It’s a quality team with good players, so we’re facing a tough game. We need to prepare for each match as if it were the last one, because there’s no other way in the national team. I’m sure many of our fans will be at the stadium, so we are expecting great support.” — said Oleksandr Svynok.

As a reminder, the Euro 2024 qualifier match between Ukraine and North Macedonia will take place on October 14 in Prague (kick-off at 16.00 Kyiv time).
