Note to your attention — operational information from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 10:00 on October 4, 2023, regarding the Russian invasion of our country.

Glory to Ukraine! The eighteenth day of the large-scale military aggression by the Russian Federation against Ukraine has begun.

The forces of the Ukrainian defense continue to conduct defensive operations in eastern and southern Ukraine, an offensive operation on the Melitopol direction, and offensive actions on the Bakhmut direction, destroying the enemy, gradually liberating temporarily occupied territories, and consolidating their positions on the achieved lines.

During the past day, 43 combat engagements took place. In total, the enemy delivered five rocket strikes and 108 air raids, carried out 55 shelling attacks with multiple launch rocket systems both against our troops' positions and civilian objects in our country. Additionally, the Russian Federation launched another attack on Ukraine using cruise missiles "Iskander-K" and 31 strike drones of type Shahed-136/131. Our air defense destroyed one cruise missile "Iskander-K" and 29 enemy "Shaheds." As a result of Russian terrorist attacks, unfortunately, there were casualties among the civilian population. Private residential buildings and other civilian infrastructure suffered damage.

Air raids hit Petrovka, Senkovoye, Synkivka in Kharkiv Oblast; Novoselyvskiy in Luhansk Oblast; Novo, Kolyadyzhi, Ivanivka, Yamolivka, Stavki, Veseloye, Spirene, Vasyukivka, Bogdanivka, Kostyantynivka, Klitschiyivka, Andriyivka, Chasiv Yar, Oleksandro-Shultyne, Katerynivka, Mariinka, Novomykhailivka, Vodyane, Urozhayne, Shakhtrivske in Donetsk Oblast; Novodaryvka, Robotine, Staromayskoye in Zaporizhzhya Oblast; Mykolayivka, Antonivka, Olgivka in Kherson Oblast.

More than 120 populated areas in Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhya, and Kherson regions came under artillery fire.

In the area of responsibility of OSUM "North" on the Volynian and Polesian directions, the operational situation remains unchanged.

On the Severnyi and Slobozhanskyi directions the enemy maintains military presence in border areas, conducts active sabotage activities to prevent our troops from redeploying to threatening sectors, and increases mine-explosive barriers along the state border in Belgorod Oblast.

In the area of responsibility of OSUM "Khortytsia" on the Kupyansk direction, the enemy did not conduct offensive (assault) operations.

On the Lysychansk direction the forces of defense repelled more than 10 attacks by the enemy in the vicinity of Makieivka, Luhansk Oblast.

On the Bakhmut direction the enemy unsuccessfully attempted to restore lost positions near Andriyivka, Donetsk Oblast. The forces of defense continue assault operations south of Bakhmut, inflicting casualties on the enemy in manpower and equipment, and consolidating their positions.

In the area of responsibility of OSUM "Tavria" on the Avdiivka direction, the forces of defense repelled all attacks by the enemy near Pervomaysk, Donetsk Oblast. The enemy conducted more than 10 unsuccessful attacks in the areas of Mariinka and Krasnogorovka, Donetsk Oblast.

On the Shakhtarskyi and Zaporizhzhia directions, the enemy did not conduct offensive (assault) operations.

The forces of defense continue conducting an offensive operation on the Melitopol direction, achieving partial success in areas west of Robotino, Zaporizhzhya Oblast, and conducting assault operations on the Bakhmut direction, achieving partial success near Klitschiyivka and Andriyivka. They inflict casualties on occupation forces in manpower and equipment, continue consolidating their positions, and exhaust the enemy.

In the area of responsibility of OSUM "Odessa" on the Kherson direction, the forces of defense continue conducting counter-battery fire, destroying ammunition depots, and successfully targeting the rear of the enemy.

During the past day, aviation of the Armed Forces delivered 14 strikes on areas of concentration of personnel, weapons, and military equipment, as well as six against air defense missile systems of the enemy.

Subunits of rocket forces inflicted damage in three areas of concentration of personnel, weapons, and military equipment, and destroyed 21 artillery units of the enemy.

In total, the enemy lost: 450 occupiers, 13 tanks, 18 armored combat vehicles, 47 artillery systems, one MLRS, 41 tactical drones, one cruise missile, 30 cars, and three units of special equipment.
