To your attention — operational information from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 10:00 on September 28, 2023 regarding the Russian invasion of our country.

Glory to Ukraine! The one hundred eighty-fifth day of Russia's large-scale military aggression against Ukraine has begun.

Russian occupiers continue to ignore international humanitarian law, shelling not only Ukrainian positions but also civilian infrastructure in populated areas, terrorizing peaceful residents.

Indeed, yesterday the Russian Federation launched another attack on Ukraine, using five Shahed-136/131 unmanned combat aerial vehicles (UCAVs), three of which were destroyed by air defense systems.

Moreover, this morning, occupiers once again attacked Ukraine with kamikaze drones, deploying 39 Shahed-136/131 UCAVs. As a result of combat operations carried out by air defense forces and means, 31 enemy "Shaheds" were destroyed.

Ukrainian defensive forces continue to conduct defensive operations in the east and south of Ukraine, offensive operations on the Melitopol direction, and offensive actions on the Bakhmut direction, destroying the enemy, gradually liberating temporarily occupied territories, and consolidating their positions.

During the past day, 26 combat engagements took place. In total, the enemy carried out two missile strikes, 57 air raids, and over 50 artillery attacks on both our military positions and civilian objects of our state. As a result of Russian terrorist attacks, unfortunately, there are casualties among civilians. Private residential buildings, a civilian hospital, two civilian enterprises, and other infrastructure were damaged.

Air raids hit the following areas: Popivka in Chernihiv Oblast; Bologivka, Kruglykivka in Kharkiv Oblast; Novoselivske, Nadia, Novoyegorivka, Nevske in Luhansk Oblast; Yamolivka, Severnyy, Spirene, Vesele, Andriyivka, Kostiantynivka, Pivnichne, Toretsk, Avdiivka, Kurakhove, Vodyane, Novomykhailivka, Urozhayne, Staromajorske in Donetsk Oblast; Novodanylivka in Zaporizhzhia Oblast; Mykolayivka, Burgunka, Olhyvka in Kherson Oblast.

Over 110 populated areas in Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, and Kherson oblasts were subjected to artillery fire.

In the area of responsibility of OSUM "North" on the Volynian and Polesian directions, the operational situation remains unchanged.

On the Severnyy and Slobozhanskyi directions the enemy maintains military presence in border areas, conducts active sabotage activities to prevent our forces from redeploying to threatening sectors, and increases the density of mine-explosive obstacles along the state border in the Belgorod region.

In the area of responsibility of OSUM "Khortytsia" on the Kupyansk and Lyman directions, the enemy did not conduct offensive (assault) operations.

On the Bakhmut direction our defenders successfully repelled attacks by the enemy in the areas of Grigoriivka, Klyschyivka and Andriyivka in Donetsk Oblast.

In the area of responsibility of OSUM "Tavria" on the Avdiivskyi direction, our forces repelled an attack by the enemy in the vicinity of Perevomayske, Donetsk Oblast.

On the Mariupol direction the enemy conducted unsuccessful offensive actions around Mariupol in Donetsk Oblast, where he made 13 failed attempts to drive our units from their positions over the past day.

On the Shakhtarskyi direction our defenders successfully repelled an attack by the enemy in the vicinity of Rivnepole, Donetsk Oblast.

On the Zaporizhzhia direction the enemy attempted to regain lost positions around Robotino in Zaporizhzhia Oblast but was unsuccessful.

Ukrainian defensive forces continue conducting offensive operations on the Melitopol direction, and offensive (assault) actions on the Bakhmut direction, inflicting losses on occupying troops in manpower and equipment, exhausting the enemy along the entire front line.

In the area of responsibility of OSUM "Odessa" on the Kherson direction, our forces continue to conduct counter-battery fire, destroying depots and successfully targeting the rear of the enemy.

During the past day, aviation of the defensive forces carried out seven strikes on areas of concentration of personnel, weapons, and military equipment of the enemy. Our defenders also destroyed two reconnaissance UCAVs at the operational-tactical level.

Subunits of rocket troops targeted a command post, a S-300 air defense system, and six artillery systems of the enemy.

In total, the enemy lost: 330 occupiers, four tanks, twelve armored combat vehicles, thirty-eight artillery systems, one MLRS, one air defense system, nine UCAVs at the operational-tactical level, twenty-three vehicles, and two units of special equipment.
