The women's national beach football team of Ukraine secured sixth place in the Euroleague-2023 tournament

Today, the Ukrainian women's beach soccer team faced Italy in a playoff match for 5th–6th place at EuroLeague-2023. Yesterday, Yuri Klimenko's protégés lost to the Netherlands in the semi-final playoff match for 5th–8th place at the tournament held in Alghero, Italy, with a score of 2:1, advancing to the third-place match against Italy.

Today, the Ukrainian women's beach soccer team faced Italy in a playoff match for 5th-6th place at EuroLeague-2023.

Yesterday, the team coached by Yuri Klimenko won their semifinal playoff match for 5th-8th place at the tournament held in Alghero, Italy, defeating the Netherlands with a score of 2:1 and advancing to the consolation final against Italy.

Unfortunately, our girls were unable to secure fifth position. After the first two periods, they trailed with a score of 0:3 and could not even things out. The goals by Anastasiia Kliapachenko and Yuliia Kostenko in the third quarter did not help.

In summary — the loss was 2:6.

Warned: Santos (11), Privitera (15), Ferracca (23) — Tikhonova (34).

Thus, the Ukrainian women's national team secured sixth place in the EuroLeague-2023 tournament. The winner of the tournament will be determined later when Spain faces Portugal.
