President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky addressed the nation, reporting on the results of his meeting with US President Joe Biden and about strengthening our state's institutions to rid it of any hostile or corrupt influences.

A very important visit to Washington, very significant results.

Meeting with President Biden and his team. There is a new defense package: HIMARS, artillery, ammunition, engineering equipment.

And long-term agreements - we will work together so that Ukraine produces the necessary weapons in cooperation with America.

This is a new level of our unity! Co-production in 'defense' with the United States - this is an historic thing. A new industrial base, new jobs for both of our peoples. Ukraine will be able to produce, among other things, HIMARS. We are preparing to create a new defense ecosystem together with the United States to produce weapons and further strengthen freedom and protection of life.

This will have global positive results. Thank you, Mr. President Biden!

Thank you to Congress - both parties, both chambers. I started my day in the capital of America at Congress - with very open, detailed discussions. I felt trust - trust that is always the basis of unity. Clear direct questions from members of the House and Senate. Straightforward answers. For Ukraine it's a priority for our relations with America to have necessary transparency.

There were meetings today at the Pentagon - important discussions on defense support. Important agreements.

A lot of work was done by officials. In particular, today Minister Kamishyn signed cooperation agreements with three key associations. Over two thousand defense companies - American companies - we are inviting to work in Ukraine. There is a memorandum on energy cooperation. Fundamental things were discussed today about restoring Ukraine after military actions.

We also talked about strengthening our state's institutions to rid Ukraine of any hostile or corrupt influences. There is an important decision regarding the return of artifacts stolen by occupiers - items from the Scythian period.

Important events were held today at First Lady. And a meeting with America's First Lady Jill Biden. And Georgetown University - meeting with students, expanding our cultural diplomacy. 40th Ukrainian bookshelf. Then in the evening together with Olena we addressed all Americans - and political leaders, members of Congress, and ordinary Americans who have done so many extraordinary things to help our people, Ukrainian children, our Ukrainian families and our soldiers. Thank you, United States, thank you America!
